The term '358' refers to the mesh size of the fence, where '3' signifies the horizontal spacing of 3 inches, '0.5' signifies the vertical spacing of 0.5 inches, and '8' refers to the wire gauge, which is 4mm thick. This results in a mesh size of 76.2mm by 12.7mm with 4mm wire.
The 358 safety fence features a tight mesh design that is nearly impossible for objects to pass through. This small mesh size also makes it extremely difficult to cut using conventional hand tools.
